Southview Boarding Kennels is owned and run by Sue Major, a qualified animal therapist. Your pets well being and happiness is always the first priority and being pet owners ourselves, you can be assured your pets will be looked after as if they were our own.

We know how difficult it can be leaving your pet while you go away, however by providing high standards of accommodation and care, we aim to relieve the stress for both yourselves and your pets. Leaving them with us, you can be assured they are staying in a safe and
secure environment.

We pride ourselves in making your pets stay as comfortable and stress free as possible at all times. In addition, the Kennels have been designed and built to local authority specifications, which aid cleanliness and hygiene, which is of paramount importance at Southview.

We understand that your pets are individuals and to enhance their stay we like you to tell us as much as possible about them including any likes or dislikes they may have.

Southview consists of a riding school, kennels, cattery and pet shop. Some of the organisations we work with are Writtle College, Riding for the Disabled, and Trident. We have a passion for animal health and wellbeing and an enthusiasm for learning which we combine in a friendly environment where both people and animals feel safe.

Our students are taught the practical tasks of running the business, but are also encouraged to develop their softer skills that can make such a difference to the people and animals that are the key to the success of our business.

We are always available for a chat so please feel free to come and meet us.

Southview was a finalist in the Best Business in the Community Awards 2011

Sue Major

Owning Southview Boarding Kennels is a dream come true for me, it has been an ambition of mine for many years to own a kennels, mainly due to a bad experience that I had with my dogs some years ago. I wanted a place where your pets were safe, with plenty to do, kind loving staff, so they felt on holiday too.
